As an independent optometrists, Pinder’s are very much part of the community, having provided reliable eyecare in North Nottinghamshire since 1946. We offer a comprehensive range of glasses, sunglasses, contact lenses and visual aids to meet the needs of local people.

When you visit our practice you can expect cheerful, caring attention from all our staff, most of whom have worked at Pinder’s for many years, and we will endeavour to encourage you and your children to return to Pinder’s for many years to come. All our practices have ground floor testing room facilities, so wheelchairs should be no problem, but please notify us if you anticipate any concerns or difficulties (e.g. language problems )…..we want to help!
Our professional staff of optometrists (who examine eyes / fit contact lenses) and dispensing opticians (experts in frame and lens design) regularly attend training courses to keep updating our knowledge and skills to provide you with the best possible care and attention. We are dedicated to providing the very best solutions for your optical requirements, and keeping you fully informed of the options available and the different costs involved. You will receive professional advice on keeping your eyes and vision in the best possible condition, as well as being given a copy of your prescription. We will try to answer and explain any queries you may have about your eyes….so please ask!
